Abstract

Desert, Desertification and Water are the world's most Challenging issues next only to the Changing Climate. The desertification has resulted into instability of human settlement and in areas of marginal economic and environmental turmoil. Serious constraints for development and to reach sustainability in these areas are the main focus of the study. Qhab Rustaq is one such region in Iran. Tests were conducted on the ecological and social variables, quantitative and qualitative limitations of water resources, land degradation, non-cultivated land due to soil salinity and water shortages, lack of income and immigration as the consequences of desertification and factors affecting instability rural residence time has been studied. To evaluate the role of desert and desertification development in rural villages sometimes results instability Qhab Rustaq, commensurate with the principles and theoretical hypotheses of different indicators such as water, land degradation, income, management and human ... Has been evaluated.
