Because of the Covid-19 pandemic in this anomalous scenario across Sri Lanka, educational activities in schools cannot be undertaken as usual. Rather than carrying out educational activities in the usual manner, online teaching and learning is used. Online education has become the standard for both teachers and students in Sri Lankan schools. As a result, students encounter numerous challenges when learning online. Considering this, 100 students from the following Muslim schools, comprising girls and boys in grades 10 and 11, were chosen at random for this study: Al-Hamra Maha Vidyalaya, Zahira College, and Aluthgama Road Muslim Ladies National School. They were sent a Google form questionnaire survey, and the data was examined and concluded. Students' challenges were determined based on the data. According to the case study, the following significant challenges were identified: poor internet connection, reduced direct interaction with their teachers, health issues, excessive subject sessions and homework, excessive expenses for mobile data or Wi-Fi facilities, fewer opportunities for interaction with colleagues, no fixed time slots for educational sessions, inappropriate teaching techniques, lack of computer devices for online learning or their inefficiency, having no appropriate home environment for online learning, lack of knowledge of control of computer devices.en_US
